In this abridged version of Harkleroad's FREEZEOUT! (published in 2008), Race Evans is down on his luck--crippled by a bronc, turned out of his job and starving to death in a snowstorm--when he wanders into the Hensen ranch. There's trouble to spare on the ranch, and Race soon suspects it's due to a villain he knows well from days when they were cellmates. But there's also Sage Hensen, a most feisty, attractive honey-blonde Race can't ignore. He stays to become involved in the troubles brought by rustlers, gunmen and a blizzard. This one is good readin' and don't let the J.D. fool you--this one is by a lady western writer!
